I get tired of hearing that Hitler killed 6 million people, when in fact it was 11 million peoples, 6 million of which were Jews. the rest, apparently unmentionable were the disabled, retarded, gay, Gypsy, or other ethnic backgrounds. History sure changes through time, its like that game we play in school where we pass a message from one to another a observe how it changes. Please remember that whomsoever records the history is also creating opinions and direction for the future.
Hi,
Great movie you guys made here. You can be proud of it.
If it gives you any hope, here’s my story:
untill a few years ago I was one of those rude kids that only cared about money. I knew something about Informatics and earned a good living. I got wasted every weekend and would work from monday till friday between 9 and 5.
Well, 2 years ago I started my own business, my own informatics company. Things didn’t go that well so I ended up almost being faced with bankrupcy.
And suddenly I had a reality check, our modern world really doesn’t give a fuck about the poor. We just work and live our daily lives without taking a look at the world around us. Things we don’t like f.e. poverty, injustice or corruption, we just ignore them because we think it has no real impact on our lives and we assume that ‘the others’ will take care of it. Well here’s the truth: WE, you and me, we are ‘the others’…
Its a bit sad that I had to experience it for myself first before I saw it, but hey, beter late then never.
Since then I always try to pass knowledge I gain, f.e. from documentaries like these, to all my friends and even business associates.
I discuss with them about poverty, general injustice and corruption. When I go for groceries I always carry enough money and food to hand out some to the poor people I meet on my way. and you know what? It is starting to work, more and more people I talk about these things with, are starting to see the facts, that we have to change our way of living. There is hope, but it is very important that documentaries like these are made, because we don’t see these things in mainstream media.
As the man in the movie makes clear: Its all about knowledge…
Again, congrats with the film and I look forward to see your next documentary.
Kind regards,
The yes man
